Residents scooped fuel when the truck overturned and spilled its contents over the road, which occurred on Thursday.
According to eyewitness testimonies, residents, both kids and adults, have taken advantage of the situation to scoop gasoline, despite the consequences.
Residents were alleged to have invaded the surrounding areas to grab the stuff, despite the hazard.
During the rescue operation, which completed on Friday, a male adult was discovered deceased.
Because the entire axis was closed off to enable for a flawless rescue operation, the incident caused a traffic bottleneck.

Dr Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), has expressed concern about illegal fuel scooping in order to avoid further harm.
The crisis was managed by a collaborative team of the Lagos State Fire Service, the Agency fire team, and the Nigeria Police, according to the Permanent Secretary.
“Upon arrival of the Agency’s tiger team at the event location, it was seen that a multiple accidents had happened involving a tanker with unknown registration number transporting about 45 thousand litres of gasoline and four vehicles,” he said.
“A joint team of Lagos State Fire Service, Agency fire team, Nigeria Police worked to manage the flames and the resultant traffic backlogs using chemical foam.
“The other affected cars were recovered by the Agency’s light-duty equipment.
“The entire area has been blanketed with a chemical retardant to prevent secondary incidents from the product which spilt into a nearby gully.
“Members of the public are to refrain from illegal scooping of product to prevent any additional outbreak and to avoid igniting naked flame or fire.
“The operation has been concluded and the carriageway is open for traffic having been supported by the Agency’s fire trucks and super metro.
“A single fatality (adult male) was discovered and the remains have been handed over to SEHMU for further processing. “
