Users could previously only restrict certain settings for Everyone, My Contacts, or Nobody. WhatsApp users can now choose to block settings using a new option called “My Contacts Except,” according to the latest privacy upgrades.
Except for the people you omit, your contacts will be able to see your last seen, profile photo, or status.
“To further safeguard your privacy online, we’re rolling out new choices to your privacy control settings,” WhatsApp said in a tweet announcing the new features. You may now control who can access your Profile Photo, About, and Last Seen status from your contact list.
