While Amazon’s prime membership program will be available in Belgium at the start of activities, it will not be available in other countries until long after.
Amazon’s foray into Nigeria’s e-commerce arena will increase competition in a sector dominated by Jumia, Konga, and Jiji, among others.
Despite having a foothold in 20 countries with strong economies, Amazon’s presence in developing regions such as South America and Africa has been limited.
