According to reports, Arsenal has finalised the signing of Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus on a long-term contract from Premier League champions Manchester City.
The sum for the 25-year-old is thought to be £45 million, and he will transfer to the Emirates after passing a medical and agreeing on personal conditions. Jesus will take over the No. 9 shirt that Alexandre Lacazette departed on a free transfer to Lyon.
The Gunners worked with G. Jesus’ representative Marcello Pettinati for nearly six months to ensure they were in pole position to sign him from City this summer.

He is the fourth summer signing for the north London club, joining Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner, and Marquinhos.

“Gabriel is a player who we have admired for a long time now. He is 25 years old and an established Brazil international who has consistently demonstrated that he is a player at a very high level. Mikel Arteta added: “I’m very excited. The club has done a tremendous job to recruit a player of this stature. I know Gabriel personally very well, and we all know him well from his time in the Premier League and being really successful here.
