SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police public relations officer, disclosed the details on Twitter on Wednesday.
The spokesman revealed that the altercation took place during a vigil for the Christian faithful.
“This case is obviously a murder. Suspects have been taken into custody,” said Hundeyin.
