After Asake’s debut studio album, “Mr Money With The Vibe,” broke new ground as the first African album to have the biggest opening day and the biggest opening three days on Apple Music, fans of the neo-fuji singer overreacted. The Apple Music records further confirmed Asake’s status as a talented musician with a sizable fan base in light of his recent achievements in the music business. This led his supporters to compare him to Wizkid, a frequent world record breaker.
The comparison, however, made Portable feel differently. The “Zazuu Zehh” singer created a video to express his annoyance with Asake’s fans for equating him with Wizkid.
He praised Wizkid and declared that he [Portable] is not Wizkid but rather a member of the Asake set. The CEO of Starboy Entertainment is not their mate, he stated.
Don’t compare Asake to Wizkid, Portable stated.
The big man Wizkid is! He is in charge, Olamide Baddo, Burna Boy, and Davido OBO, They are all part of the same categories.
So, Asake and I are part of the same Olamide-era set, So they shouldn’t compare Asake and Big Wiz at all. Portable stated.
