Wilson Uwujaren, the anti-graft agency’s head of media and publicity, said in a statement on Wednesday that he was taken into custody on Thursday, September 29, 2022.

Timothy, an Igede-Ekiti native from the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State, is accused of creating a fake Instagram account called “Zazu Omolalomi Portable” and posing as the singer.
According to the statement, investigations revealed that the suspect had communicated with one of his victims via social media, Adebayo Adedimeji Lukman, who owns a club in Offa, Kwara State. He introduced himself as “Portable” and negotiated to perform at the club for N1m, according to the statement.
Adebayo reportedly transferred N790,000 into a bank account listed by the suspect after the suspect demanded that 80% of the money be paid before the event.
The event was held on February 18, 2022, but the self-described artist “Portable” failed to appear and subsequently cut off contact with the suspect.
