The student who studies at Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS) known as Usman Abubakar-Rimi, has passed away.
Since the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) had been on a protracted strike, Abubakar-Rimi decided to start a food selling business. Unfortunately, he recently passed away.
A culinary establishment and Indomie joint have been established in Sokoto’s Diplomat neighborhood by Abubakar-Rimi, a final-year medical and surgical student.
After a brief illness, the medical student passed away on Wednesday, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.
This was confirmed on Saturday by Umar Idris, the chairman of the 21st Century Entrepreneur Hub and a close friend of the deceased.
Idris claimed that the deceased had been buried in his hometown of Rimi, Rimi Local Government Area of Katsina State, in accordance with Islamic customs.
He characterized the deceased as a modest individual who was a committed learner and businessperson.
He said that the deceased was the state coordinator for the 21st Century Entrepreneurs Hub in Katsina and actively took part in organizing activities related to global entrepreneurship in 2019 and 2020.
He continued by saying that the deceased also organized numerous more skill-building seminars and the largest CEO gathering in Katsina from 2019 to 2020, the Young CEOs Meetup in Katsina.
He mentioned that the 21st Century Entrepreneurs Hub in Katsina empowered over 1,000 women and youths with varied entrepreneurial skills while under Abubakar-direction. Rimi’s
It was recalled that on September 9, the deceased remarked in an exclusive interview with NAN that the prolonged strike by ASUU had given him the chance to start his own food company.
The deceased further disclosed to NAN that he launched an egg and poultry distribution company during the COVID-19 lockdown.
