The launch comes just over a year after the singer called Nigeria’s cannabis ban “dumb.”
The brand launch, which coincided with Miami Carnival, began with a Pop Up from 12 – 3 , followed by brunch at a Miami Diner from 3:30-7.
Burna Boy was also represented by a team at the all-white-themed Tipsy Musical Festival at Bayfront Park, which he headlined. The brand is thought to be inspired by Burna Boy’s hit single “Last Last,” in which he sings… “I need Igbo and shayo (Shayo).”
Last Last’, which was released on May 13th, 2022, talks about heartbreak, which was referred to as ‘Breakfast’ in the song, while a portion of the lyrics discussed a way to cope with the heartbreak by indulging in weed (Igbo) and alcohol (shayo).
