The internet has been flooded with photos and videos from the traditional wedding ceremony.
In viral videos, the stunning bride is seen entering the hall in grand style as the Ooni’s chiefs ask for her hand in marriage.
The Ooni was nowhere to be seen, as he had been at his previous weddings.
The Yoruba monarch was represented by royal guards and maids, palace chiefs, and royal staff. Queen Ronke Ademiluyi is said to have known the Ooni before he ascended to the throne in 2015.
The London-educated lawyer is a well-known entrepreneur who has lived in both the United Kingdom and Nigeria. Ronke is the creator of the popular fashion showcase platforms AFWN and AFWL.
As a prince at the time, the now-Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi’s company was a major sponsor of ‘Africa Fashion Week Nigeria,’ the fashion showcase platform founded by Princess Ronke Ademiluyi, a single mother of one. Ronke’s great-grandfather was Ooni Ademiluyi Ajagun, a princess from Ile Ife.
