A teen girl committed suicide in the USA, which will seem like a really shocking occurrence.
On Sunday afternoon, the girl reportedly killed herself by jumping off the top of a luxury apartment building on the Upper East Side.
The girl’s identity wasn’t made public right away.
According to StreetEasy.com, co-ops in the Manhattan building have recently sold for as much as $5 million.
The prewar building is nine stories tall, according to the real estate website.
“I was coming out of my apartment and there were three ambulances on the block,” one neighbour told The Post. “It’s horrible. It’s absolutely horrendous.”
It was the second time in around six months, according to a doorman who works on the block, that someone committed suicide by jumping to their death nearby.
Around 12:54 p.m., a 17-year-old girl jumped from the eighth floor of 122 E. 82nd St., according to police. Several minutes later, she was declared dead.
“It’s just crazy,” the doorman stated.
