Zelensky had expressed his country’s readiness to collaborate with Nigeria to address global concerns, particularly risks to food security, in a post sent via his Twitter account on Thursday while thanking Tinubu.

He tweeted: “Congratulations @officialABAT on the victory in the election of the President of Nigeria. I look forward to close cooperation. I am convinced that the two-way interaction 🇺🇦 and 🇳🇬 will strengthen. Ukraine is determined to work together to overcome global challenges, including threats to food security!”
Zelensky’s tweet of congratulations to Tinubu, however, was ridiculed by some Twitter users, primarily Nigerians, while the Ukrainian president was backed by others.
