In order to pursue his goal of studying medicine, Fabiyi chose Lagos State University, also known as LASU, as his second choice after selecting UNILAG as his first.
The panel that oversaw the exam took note of the fact that the sexagenarian chose the Yaba College of Technology as his third choice for a scientific laboratory technology program.
Babatunde Fabiyi, 69, was one of the applicants who took the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination with the intention of enrolling in the University of Lagos’s medical school.
JAMB, in its comments, noted that “The sexagenarian, who hailed from Egbado-North, Ogun State, sat the UTME at Centre 457, Nubi Private School, Okota, Lagos State. The centre’s examination officials, in their various submissions, indicated that Mr Fabiyi was a model candidate as he not only came to the centre early enough but also followed all the instructions given to him diligently.”
