He was apprehended after spraying a girl with kerosene and setting her ablaze due to accusations of witchcraft.
The victim said she was dispatched by her older sister to kill the suspect when she entered his home in the Rafin Albasa neighbourhood of Bauchi city, according to the police.
”The suspect said he attempted to make the girl leave his house, but he said she insisted that she must bury some charms in the corner of the house.
“The suspect became furious and poured kerosene on her and set her ablaze in his compound, claiming she was a witch,” Wakil stated.
The person was taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, for prompt medical care after a team of detectives responded to the information, the speaker stated.

“A discreet Investigation has been instituted to unravel the exact circumstances that led to the situation. The suspect will be charged to court for the established offence upon completion of the investigation,” he stated.
