As the first male player to make 200 appearances for his country, football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been awarded a Guinness World Records certificate.
The 89th-minute winner in Portugal’s 1-0 victory over Iceland in European Championship qualifying was another way he marked the occasion.

He also has 123 goals overall, which is the most in Portugal.

Having victory in the Nations League in 2019, Ronaldo also enjoyed success with Portugal in the 2016 European Championship.
According to ESPN, Ronaldo said prior to the game with Iceland
He stated ;
‘Two hundred games played proves the love I have for my country.
‘For me it is an extremely important milestone. It means a lot. [Two hundred] is a beautiful number that [no men’s player] has.
‘I’m very proud because this is something I never thought I could reach. And I’m continuing to set records.’
In addition to that, Ronaldo became the first male player to score in five World Cups at the World Cup in Qatar last year.
