Ebimotimi, a student of business administration, was reportedly killed early on Sunday at Honeyhill Tombia in Bayelsa State, according to Peoples’ 93.1FM in Yenagoa.
Ebimotimi, a native of the Korokorosei community in the Southern Ijaw Local Government area, was accused of stealing from a local resident who runs a small business. When the neighbours in the community were alerted, they started attacking Ebimotimi.

Idisemi Opuofoni Freeborn, his younger sister, claimed that after neighbours and friends heard about the occurrence, they hurried to the scene and begged the angry teenagers to spare their life, offering to pay for the bread in doubles, but the irate youths rejected the appeal and killed him.
Idisemi claims that after their father passed away, life has been unfair for them and that it was hunger that drove him to steal bread.
She stated ;
“We are seven in our family and life has been hard after our father di*d. I wrote WAEC since 2019 and has not been able to proceed to the University because of funds.”
