On the Play Store App, Google Now Accepts Naira Payments.

The company announced that starting Wednesday (today), Nigerians can now make purchases on the Google Play Store using their Verve cards.

According to the announcement, as part of their new agreement, Google would handle Verve transactions within Nigeria. These transactions will be made in naira and will be viewed as local ones by the nation’s banking institutions.

the Head of Retail and Payment Partnerships, Google Play,

Anthea Crawford stated,
