Aniekan Essienette, a spokesperson for Ibom Air and general manager of marketing and communication, revealed in a statement.
Essienette claims that the owner of the laptop, who observe Mr David moving around the airplane, went to check where he kept his laptop and noticed at once that it was gone.
He gave the crew members the go-ahead to raise the alarm.
The laptop was found with Mr David after a quick search that caused a delay of around 30 minutes.
He was promptly evacuated and turned over to FAAN Aviation Security for further investigation before being turned over to police for additional inquiry.
