A remarkable display of ingenuity, four young African girls have defied expectations and made headlines with their groundbreaking invention.
In a world where innovation is often associated with big corporations and high-tech gadgets, it’s truly inspiring to see young minds breaking barriers and making a difference. And that’s exactly what four African girls have done with their incredible invention that has the potential to change lives.
It all started with a simple idea and a lot of determination.
I refer to it as amazing since four girls, aged 14 and 15, produced the invention rather than a professor, university students, or seasoned engineers.
Following their project’s display at the Maker Faire Africa, an innovators’ show held in Lagos, the Senior Secondary 2 students from Doregos Private Academy, Ipaja, Lagos, had their tale picked up by media outlets worldwide.
The news of their innovation amazed me so much that I looked them up.
Inspired by their desire to find a sustainable solution, they embarked on a journey that would defy all expectations and stereotypes.
