Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has issued a stern warning to the newly emerged terror group, Lakurawa, operating in the North-West region.
Ribadu vowed that the group will not thrive under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, emphasizing that “their days are numbered” if they don’t cease their activities.
Lakurawa’s activities have been confirmed by the Defence Headquarters, spreading terror across the Northwestern states of Sokoto and Kebbi.
The group is affiliated with terrorists in the Sahel, particularly from Mali and Niger Republic.

Ribadu emphasized that Lakurawa’s timing is a miscalculation, stating, “Nobody dares President Bola Tinubu and gets away with it”.
The military has declared nine terrorists wanted for their involvement in these escalating security threats.
The acting Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Olufemi Oluyede, ordered troops to combat the terror group during his visit to the 8 Division of the Nigerian Army in Sokoto.
The Nigerian Army has sent troops from Operation Fasan Yamma to Sokoto and Kebbi States to drive out the terrorists.
