Former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has debunked rumors of his death, stating that he is alive and well.
Obasanjo made this statement in response to rumors circulating on social media about his passing.
The former president expressed his surprise at the rumors, saying, “I heard the rumor that I was dead. I saw it in the social media. I quickly told my children and my relations that it was not true and that I’m alive.”
Obasanjo also had a message for those who wished him dead, saying, “Those that want me dead, that is their wish but God still keeps me alive.”
Obasanjo made these comments during the inauguration of the Old-Garage/Oke-Fia Road in Osogbo, Osun State, reconstructed by Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The governor also spoke at the event, highlighting his government’s commitment to infrastructure development and provision in the state.
Governor Adeleke stated, “I have redirected our efforts and plan at the completion of Iwo-Osogbo road. We have added the dualisation of Odoori – Adeeke Road inside Iwo to be executed in two phases.”
He also reassured the people of Osun State that his government would complete all ongoing projects and continue to address the state’s infrastructure and social needs.
