A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to express her frustration after her siblings were served akpu and egusi soup during their school’s graduation party, despite the high school fees she pays.
In a video posted on TikTok, the woman showcased her siblings, whom she is currently sponsoring, while voicing her dissatisfaction with the school.
She alleged that, beyond the expensive fees, the institution frequently requires additional expenses for textbooks and other materials.
Despite these payments, the school allegedly served akpu and egusi soup, alongside pure water, during the graduation celebration.
The woman’s statement read:
“These are my siblings. I’m expressing how I feel and calling out Hold Height Academy. Their school fees are expensive. After paying school fees, they’ll ask us to buy other things, and we comply. Their results aren’t the issue here.
“Today is their graduation party, and they shared akpu and egusi soup with them at school. What is this, despite all the money we’ve paid? Even the soup doesn’t have oil, and they gave them pure water. Rice may be expensive, but you collect a lot in school fees and for the graduation party. Yet, this is what you’re sharing?”
The video quickly gained traction online, prompting mixed reactions from viewers.
