A heartbreaking tragedy happened in Lagos, Nigeria, where a 2-year-old girl allegedly died in a private school’s swimming pool.
The girl’s mother, Ella, has taken to social media to demand justice and transparency from the school and authorities.
According to Ella, her daughter left for school on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, but did not return alive.
The school allegedly claimed that the child drowned in the swimming pool, but Ella claims that she has evidence suggesting that the child died from electrocution and was then placed in the pool to make it look like a drowning.
Ella has raised serious concerns about the school’s safety measures, questioning how a 2-year-old child could have climbed into the pool, which has barricades.
She has also accused the school of lacking transparency, alleging that they told other parents that the school was closed for maintenance instead of revealing the truth about the child’s death.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, was contacted for comment but did not respond as of the time of filing the report.
Ella’s plea for justice has sparked outrage and sympathy on social media, with many calling for a thorough investigation into the incident and demanding accountability from the school.
