An incident has come to light in Georgia, where a 19-year-old healthcare worker, Lucrecia Kormassa Koiyan, is facing a felony charge for exploiting disabled men on TikTok.
Koiyan, who worked in an in-home adult daycare program, posted videos of herself twerking on top of disabled men, sparking widespread outrage on social media.
The videos, which showed her wearing scrubs and a stethoscope, were widely shared and condemned.
The Loganville Police Department launched an investigation into the incident after being alerted to the viral videos. Police Chief Dick Lowry expressed his disgust at the incident, stating that Koiyan’s actions constituted exploitation of disabled persons.
Koiyan has been charged with exploitation of a disabled person and is currently being held in Walton County Jail. Authorities are reviewing whether other victims may be involved and are investigating Koiyan’s licensing status.
In response to the backlash, Koiyan posted a video claiming that the person whose head she was dancing on felt “very aware and comfortable” with her actions.
However, this claim has not been verified, and the investigation is ongoing.
