A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George, has strongly criticized the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over the revocation of the PDP’s national secretariat in Abuja.
George, who spoke during an interview on Arise Television, described Wike’s action as an open declaration of war against the party and questioned his continued membership in the PDP.
The FCT Minister’s decision to revoke the land allocated to the PDP for its national secretariat was due to unpaid ground rents spanning 20 years. However, George sees this as a deliberate attempt to undermine the party.
The PDP leader emphasized that the party must convene to address the situation, stressing that Wike’s action is a direct affront to the PDP.
George also criticized the PDP’s National Disciplinary Committee, led by Chief Tom Ikimi, for alleged bias in favor of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
