Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has directed all political appointees in his administration to declare their assets, Thenewsnaija reports.
This directive was given during an Iftar gathering with Heads of Government Agencies and Special Advisers at Government House, Kano, on Thursday.
Governor Yusuf emphasized the importance of compliance with the Code of Conduct rules, noting that 60 to 70 percent of the appointees had yet to declare their assets.
He urged them to obtain, complete, and submit the necessary forms without delay, stressing that adherence to the law was non-negotiable.
Additionally, Governor Yusuf reminded special advisers of their duty to provide sound counsel and submit reports on governance matters.
He also announced the allocation of 13 Hajj seats to Heads of Government Agencies. The Secretary to the State Government, Malam Umar Ibrahim, urged the appointees to remain committed to Governor Yusuf’s mission and vision, focusing on transformation and improving the standard of living for Kano residents.
