The Take-It-Back (TIB) Movement has announced plans to hold a peaceful protest in Rivers State on April 7.
In a formal notification letter sent to the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, TIB requested police protection to safeguard participants and maintain peace during the event.
The movement outlined key issues prompting the demonstration, including the repeal of the Cybersecurity Act, rising insecurity in the state, and worsening economic hardship.
TIB emphasized its commitment to maintaining order and ensuring the protest remains lawful, citing their constitutional right to freedom of expression and assembly.
The planned protest comes amid growing concerns over economic instability and insecurity in Rivers State, with many citizens calling for urgent government intervention. The TIB urged all supporters and concerned residents to join the peaceful march as they push for policy reforms.
Authorities are yet to issue a formal response regarding the protest, but all eyes remain on Rivers State as April 7 approaches.
