Apostle O.C. Benjamin, a Nigerian pastor, has been accused of staging fake miracles, including healings and resurrections, by a former associate.
Apostle Wisdom, who claims to have worked with several high-profile religious figures, alleged that Benjamin orchestrated fake miracles to deceive his followers. Wisdom revealed that he personally participated in fabricating miracles under Benjamin’s direction.
According to Wisdom, Benjamin hires individuals to pose as the sick, disabled, or even deceased during church services and crusades. He alleged that Benjamin uses these staged events to create the illusion of divine intervention, ensuring his followers’ continued devotion and financial contributions.
One particular incident involved a young man who was paid to pretend to be deaf and dumb. Wisdom claimed that the man was “healed” during a church gathering, but was later discovered making a phone call outside the church premises.
Wisdom also accused Benjamin of staging a fake resurrection, where a young man was hired to pose as a corpse. The “miracle” was allegedly performed using a handkerchief and anointing oil given to Benjamin by Pastor Uma Ukpai.
These allegations have sparked debate over the integrity of faith-based healing practices and the potential exploitation of religious followers.
