Nelson’s creativity resulted in the development of an entirely water-powered generator. With a 1000-watt capacity and a voltage range of 220 to 240, the generator has the ability to challenge Nigeria’s traditional power-generating techniques.

 

Nelson claims that a litre of clean water can fuel a generator and provide electricity for six hours. Nelson’s generator has powered his two-bedroom flat in Akwa, Anambra state.

 

In an interview video with BBC Africa, the youthful inventor broke the good news, revealing that the generator can run for up to six hours on just one litre of clean water.

He also mentioned that, at the time of the BBC interview, he had been working on the project for 16 years. In addition to being environmentally considered his technology solves the safety issues if compared with conventional gasoline generators.

Emeka Nelaosn lost a close friend in a generator fume incident when he was twelve years old. He has since pledged to keep going until he has created a substitute for using gasoline generators.

 

 

Ever since, he’s been driven to discover fuel-free generator alternatives which now bring about the water-powered generator, Nelson is the inventor of a device that turns garbage into roofing sheets, gasoline, and diesel.

 

 

During the interview, he said “This generator uses water instead of petrol which is fuel that sometimes is almost as expensive as gold and that does not entirely render petrol useless, But you no longer have to worry about petrol, why not?
