Remember that after Kuti got into an altercation with a police officer on the 3rd Mainland Bridge last week, Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, issued an arrest warrant for him.
Seun turned himself in to the police, according to a statement released on Monday morning by the Public Relations Officer(PRO) of the state police command, Benjamin Hundeyin.
Justice will be secured and clearly delivered in this case, according to the police.
The Lagos Police PRO stated “Afrobeat musician, Seun Kuti, in the early hours of today turned himself in at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, in company of his lawyer and family representative.”
He continued ”He has been placed under arrest in line with the law.”
“The Command appreciates the public for their concern and assures that the ongoing investigation will be detailed, transparent, professionally pursued; and justice will be manifestly served for all parties involved.”
