Nigerian Talented Man Receives 40 Offers of Scholarships in The US.
Achunike Okafor, a great student from Nigeria, was recognized for his exceptional performance at Science Park High School in Newark, New Jersey.
His GPA is the best ever recorded in the city’s public school district and is the highest among the 2,649 graduates in the Class of 2023 in Newark.
According to the online daily TapIntoNewark. Several prestigious universities, including Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Princeton, Penn State, Stanford, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Southern California, and Rutgers, have extended him over 40 scholarship offers as a result of his accomplishments.

Thanking God for the chances that have come his way,
Okafor stated ;
“I am grateful for the opportunities to attend such esteemed universities and to represent my family and community. I do not take lightly the privilege and responsibility to be among the few individuals selected for such honours.”
At Harvard University, the 18-year-old intends to pursue a degree in neuroscience.

Darlene Gearhart, the principal of Science Park, praised Okafor for being a remarkable person and praised his ambition, tenacity, and diligence.
She stated ;
“There’s absolutely nothing average about him. He’s humble, driven, and industrious. He has always been a great kid. He is always eager to learn.”
Roger León, the superintendent of schools, recognized Achunike’s outstanding accomplishments as a cause for celebration for Science Park High, the school system, and the Newark neighbourhood.
He expressed his admiration for Okafor’s tenacity, fortitude, and commitment to excellence while wishing him luck at Harvard and looking forward to his future successes.
Achunike actively participated in a number of extracurricular activities in addition to his academic efforts. He held executive posts as president of the Future Educators Club and Black Student Union in addition to co-founding the Science Club and serving as vice president of the Junior Student Council and the Stand & Deliver Club. He also made a contribution by serving as the Environmental Club’s treasurer and co-captain of the robotics team.
