Tope Alabi eventually responds to critics in a new video by stating that “Aboru Aboye” is solely Yoruba Language and not for Traditionalists.

The Popular Gospel singer was seen preaching in a white robe church in a recent video that has gone viral. She claimed that “Aboru Aboye” is a true Yoruba language and not just the domain of traditionalists.

 

 

Tope Alabi, who clarified with a biblical allusion, said that her deft use of language remained a distinctive aspect of her work as a gospel musician.

 

 

 

 

 

She stated,

 

“It was recorded that David made a sacrifice of faithfulness to God. Why was the word sacrifice not written as the same English word in the Yoruba version of the Bible? It is a Yoruba language. There is no special language for traditionalists. We are all speaking the Yoruba language.

“If some people say they want to use the language in their own style, it is not bad. We have also decided to use it in our own style

She also emphasized that sacrifices were made in the Bible, but she also inquired as to whether or not Abraham’s sacrifice was accepted. Wasn’t Isaac the same way?
