Asake reacts after an old Blaqbonez tweet from 2016 praising his talent resurfaces.
Blaqbonez branded Asake as the greatest performer in the music industry in a tweet shared on Twitter in 2016.
Asake was a student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) at the time, and he had just finished a performance on campus. Blaqbonez owes him a debt of gratitude as a result of the show.

“Asake, the greatest performer in our music industry, is in oau.” Blaqbonez posted on Twitter, “What I saw was incredible, thirty minutes of Greatness argghhhh.”

The social media post drew the notice of Asake six years later, and he went on to become famous in 2022 with his popular song, ‘Omo Ope.’ In response to the post, he stated that he had been involved in music for a long time before being famous.
