Baba Ijesa, a popular Nollywood actor and comedian, has been sentenced to 16 years in prison for sexual assault.
This comes just over a year after the Nollywood star was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a kid.
In a two-hour ruling on Thursday, Justice Taiwo found Baba Ijesha guilty of indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, and attempted sexual assault.
Taiwo, on the other hand, discharged and acquitted him on counts one and six, which were sexual assault by penetration and attempted sexual assault by penetration, respectively.
