A tanker bursts into flames On the Lagos-Ibadan highway.
The incident was confirmed by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC). A bus was involved in the raging fire in Araromi town, near the Sagamu interchange in Ogun State.
According to Florence Okpe, the FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, the details of the incident are still sketchy.
Okpe stated that the rescue operation is still ongoing, but that the number of people involved has yet to be confirmed.
She explained that the area had been cordoned off and that traffic had been diverted to avoid a secondary clash. Drivers are advised to take alternate routes to avoid unnecessary delays.
She advised motorists to remain calm and cooperate with traffic managers in charge of the situation.
