Toyin Abraham has drawn criticism for his ‘contradictory’ acting role in the film ‘Gangs of Lagos.
Recall that on Thursday night, the premiere of the film “Gang of Lagos” was swarmed by prominent Nollywood actors. Jade Osiberu was the film’s producer and director.
It tells a suspenseful tale about the busy streets and neighbourhoods of Lagos’s Isale Eko.
A gang of childhood pals attempt to overcome the difficulties of growing up and adjusting to life in the gritty, hard-hitting action movie.
Toyin Abraham, who played a gubernatorial contender pleading with voters to vote out the incumbent administration that had been holding the state captive for years, is one of the cast members.
Many Nigerians criticized the actress for playing a different character in real life on social media in response to the movie.
Remember that Toyin supported Bola Tinubu, the All Progressive Congress’s (APC) presidential candidate in the recently held general elections, despite criticism from others who believed Tinubu was unqualified to lead the nation, especially young people.
