The thugs entered the classrooms by breaking the school’s ceiling, where they took valuables.
According to reports, the burglars took some of the school’s teachers’ personal papers as well as chairs, tables, and bells from the classrooms.
The school is a three-block complex of classrooms that serves a large number of students from Elebute and Alaaguntan areas of Ogun State.
For security reasons, a teacher who only wanted to be known as Adeyemo told our correspondent that she arrived at the school on Monday only to discover valuable items missing.
He bemoaned the fact that the school, which was constructed by the construction firm Lafarge Plc, was furnished with cutting-edge amenities that the gang had stolen.
He said, “Maybe the modern chairs and tables that the company put in the school attracted the burglars.
“It came as a surprise to us when we met the school emptied on Monday.
“We have reported to the community head, and he promised to do something about it.”
Abdulwaheed Onigbinde, the village chief of Elebute, confirmed the incident to our correspondent and added that the thugs also stole electricity wires.
He said, “I was told that some robbers invaded the school and carted away chairs, tables and community wires.
