The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, Samuel Eze, for being in possession of a severed human breast.
The gruesome discovery was made during a routine patrol in Awada, Obosi by a joint security team consisting of police officers and local vigilantes.
According to the statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the arrest was made on Saturday, July 6, 2025, at around 3:30 p.m. The severed breast was recovered at the scene and has since been deposited at the morgue for preservation.
“The suspect is currently undergoing intense interrogation as part of ongoing investigations. He will face prosecution once preliminary investigations are concluded,” SP Ikenga confirmed.
In a separate incident, operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) successfully rescued a kidnapped truck driver and recovered a consignment of custard powder worth over ₦9.5 million.
Acting on intelligence, the RRS moved swiftly on July 4, 2025, around 12:45 p.m., intercepting the suspects and freeing the driver who had been tied up and abandoned in a bush.
