Tobi Amusan set the world record in the 100m hurdles with a record time of 12:06 seconds.

At the Asaba African Championships, she won her first African Championships title in her specialist event. She also won gold in the 4 x 100 m relay at the championships.

She won the gold medal in the 100m hurdles in her All-Africa Games debut as an 18-year-old in 2015.
