8 interesting facts about Tobi Amusan, who recently established a world record

• Amusan is from Ijebu ode in Nigeria’s south-west region.

• Tobi attended Our lady’s secondary school, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

• Amusan is the youngest of three siblings.

• Tobi Amusan set the world record in the 100m hurdles with a record time  of 12:06 seconds.

• At the Asaba African Championships, she won her first African Championships title in her specialist event. She also won gold in the 4 x 100 m relay at the championships.

• She won the gold medal in the 100m hurdles in her All-Africa Games debut as an 18-year-old in 2015.

• Amusa studied at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) in the United States.
