Mercy Chinwo Exposes Ex-Manager’s Web of Deceit: Forgery, Emotional Abuse, and Financial Exploitation
Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has finally spoken out about her highly publicized dispute with her former manager, Eezeetee.
In a detailed statement, Chinwo’s lawyers revealed the alleged contract forgery, emotional abuse, and financial exploitation she suffered during her time with Eezeetee.
According to the statement, Chinwo’s contract with Eezeetee was initially signed in 2017, but she later discovered that he had forged a new contract in 2019, which allocated lifetime ownership of her music works to him.
The statement also alleged that Eezeetee emotionally abused Chinwo, using threats and intimidation to control her. He allegedly withheld her revenue from digital streams and publishing, and even forged documents to claim ownership of her songs.
Chinwo’s lawyers stated that she had tried to resolve the issue amicably, but Eezeetee’s actions led to a breakdown in their relationship. The matter was eventually taken to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), which investigated the allegations and recovered $274,000 that Eezeetee had allegedly diverted.
Despite the allegations, Chinwo’s lawyers stated that she remains committed to her faith and her music, and is grateful for the support of her fans and well-wishers.
The statement concluded by calling on Eezeetee to come clean about the allegations and to explain why he forged the contract and withheld Chinwo’s revenue.
