Shettima, Wike and Saraki Gather in Lagos for Fayose’s Birthday (Photos)
Vice President Kashim Shettima, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike attended Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose’s birthday celebration in Lagos on Saturday.
In Lagos, Fayose celebrated his 65th birthday with loved ones. with a number of dignitaries attending the function.
It was a “pleasure to join His Excellency, Ayo Fayose, along with his family, friends, political associates, and other dignitaries in Lagos today to celebrate his 65th birthday,” Saraki said on his Facebook page.
The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) National Elective Convention in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, is taking place concurrently with the birthday celebration in Lagos State.
The party’s Umar Damagum-led faction insisted on holding the convention despite Wike’s faction’s attempts to halt it through court rulings.
At the same time, the party said that Wike, Fayose, and other senior members would be expelled due to alleged anti-party behavior.
