Nigerian rapper Oladips refutes claims of fraud Says “EFCC Scammed Me, Locked Me Up For Not Paying Tax” (Video)
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) detained well-known Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, on suspicion of tax evasion.
Speaking about the experience in an interview with Hip TV, Oladips claimed that he was imprisoned for failing to pay taxes after it was discovered that he was not involved in fraud.

The rapper revealed this information while talking about his time spent in jail by the EFCC.
Remember how the EFCC broke into Oladips’ estate in November 2024 and detained him and several residents at around three in the morning on suspicion of fraud?
He Stated ;
“Nigeria just happened to me because it was just a normal night and EFCC entered my estate. I mean it’s a big estate and they were just going from house to house arresting people. I was inside my house. It was about 3am.
“I saw it inside the estate group that EFCC were inside. I promise you, I was on my bed pressing phone because it’s none of my business. I didn’t run because I don’t do fraud, I don’t do Yahoo. Na person wey do fraud go dey run.
“The next thing, they broke my kitchen door and entered my house and asked for my phone and laptop. I’m only using two phones.
