Following the team’s failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong is allegedly thinking about retiring from international football.
The seasoned defender might not be included in the team for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in December, according to reputable and credible journalist MikeThePundit.
After Sunday’s defeat to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Troost-Ekong told his colleagues in the dressing room that he might not make it back into the squad, Mike disclosed on X.
