Finance Ministry Blocked by Parents of International Students Over Unpaid Allowances For Over a year.
Parents of Nigerian children receiving government scholarships to study overseas blocked the Federal Ministry of Finance’s entrance in Abuja on Monday.
They are requesting that their children’s unpaid allowances be paid.
According to the demonstrators, their children, who are on various bilateral education agreements and other scholarship schemes, have not received their stipends for 16 months, while an extra eight-month shortfall remains unsettled.
