Police Recruitment: Nationwide CBT Set for April 28–30
The Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBT) will be administered in all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory from April 28 to 30, 2026, according to the Police Service Commission (PSC).
According to the Police Service Commission, candidates in the current police recruitment process will take the Computer-Based Aptitude Test from April 28 to 30, 2026.
Following the worldwide physical and credentials screening, which is set to end on April 18, the exam will be given in all 36 states as well as the Federal Capital Territory.
In a statement issued by the Sokoto State Police Command on Thursday, Police Public Relations Officer Ahmad Rufa’i stated that the CBT is an important step in the employment process.

It also stated that “the computer-based aptitude test is a crucial stage intended to guarantee that only suitably qualified candidates are recruited into the Nigeria Police Force.”
Rufa’i clarified that the number of candidates and the availability of operational CBT centres would determine how long the exam would take in each state. He pointed out that while some states would finish the exercise in a single day, others might need the entire three-day span.
“The scheduling is flexible to accommodate operational realities across states, but every eligible candidate will be given a fair opportunity to participate,” he added. He urged applicants to remain calm and await further details on venue allocation and the official list of successful candidates.
In his words ;
“Applicants are urged to exercise patience and to depend solely on information from official sources. In due course, information about the locations and shortlisted applicants will be shared.”
