In a recent interview, the record-breaking director explained that her intense devotion to her work is the reason she consistently breaks records in Nigerian cinema, saying that she frequently “abandons” herself in the process.
She mentioned that she barely ever attends parties and does her hair only on special occasions.
When asked what she does differently to always outperform her prior films with each new release, Akindele responded that it all comes down to working really hard and giving her all to her profession.
She claimed that she had been totally absorbed in her work, giving up time in the process, and that she had only lately started to unwind, start a skincare regimen, and take pleasure in looking and smelling nice.
She claimed that her accomplishments, including her most recent movie, “Behind the Scene,” which made ₦2.7 billion, were ultimately due to the series of sacrifices she made.
