Ademola Lookman Transfer Saga: Inter Milan Set Deadline as Atalanta Hold Out for €50m
The transfer battle for Nigeria international Ademola Lookman is heating up, with Inter Milan issuing a final deadline to Atalanta amid stalled negotiations.
The Nerazzurri are eager to bolster their attacking options ahead of the upcoming season and have already agreed personal terms with Lookman.
The deal is reportedly worth €4 million per season.
However, the real challenge lies in the transfer fee — Inter have made a €40 million offer, but Atalanta are holding out for €50 million.
Inter Set Final Deadline
According to reports from Tuttosport, Inter have grown increasingly frustrated with the lack of progress and have now given Atalanta a clear deadline to respond. With Lookman nearing full recovery from an injury, the clock is ticking on what once seemed like a done deal.
“Inter are desperate to land Lookman, but they’re not willing to wait forever,” Tuttosport stated.

Despite their interest, Inter remain firm — they will not improve their €40m bid. The club is now exploring alternative targets in case the deal collapses.
Atalanta, on their part, are reportedly eyeing Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee as a potential replacement for Lookman, with other frontline exits — including Matteo Retegui’s move to Al-Qadsiah in Saudi Arabia — already reshaping their squad.
Lookman Wants Inter – Despite Big Offers
Interestingly, Lookman remains fully focused on joining Inter.
He has turned down approaches from Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and even Napoli, despite the latter offering a swap deal involving Giacomo Raspadori under new manager Antonio Conte.
Barcelona’s financial issues and Napoli’s proposal weren’t enough to lure Lookman away from his preferred destination — San Siro.
