Due to marital problems, a Lagos socialite was saved from attempting suicide.
With rumours of a marriage split fueling her sadness, Sobowale had been on the edge of diving into the Third Mainland lagoon.
Witnesses described the upsetting scene of Sobowale driving her Lexus jeep to the extreme edge of the bridge while wearing a covered-in-black cloth.
The episode served as a vivid example of how suicide can have terrible effects, especially when someone is going through mental hardship.
As Sobowale was being transported to safety, videos of the heartbreaking episode went viral on social media sites.

The incident came after allegations that Sobowale and Demola’s previous marriage, which had been celebrated with a big wedding, had ended.
Her mental health had obviously been affected by these personal struggles because this desperate behaviour was the result.
