JUST IN: Detained Nigerian Musician D’banj Has Been Freed On Bail Over Fraud Allegation.
Mr Daniel Oladapo, a well-known Nigerian artist, stage name D’banj, has been released on bail from custody.
Lawyers informed authorities, according to SaharaReporters, that the musician had been released on his own recognizance.
President Muhammadu Buhari introduced the program on June 8, 2016, with the goal of addressing the concerns of young unemployment and empowerment while also fostering social development.
SaharaReporters previously revealed that the anti-graft agency claimed to have received multiple petitions alleging the misappropriation of N-Power monies totalling billions of naira after the Federal Government approved and disbursed such funds to the beneficiaries.

It stated that numerous N-Power beneficiaries have complained about not receiving their monthly payments despite the government having made them.
“About 10 persons have been invited by the ICPC over the last few months in connection with the N-Power fraud, and have been granted administrative bail after their detention. Several invitations to Mr. Oladipo Daniel Oyebanjo, to appear before a team of investigators were ignored and not honoured.
“Mr. Oyebanjo turned in himself and was taken into custody at the ICPC Headquarters on Tuesday, 6th December, 2022, and is currently assisting the investigators to unravel the circumstances of the fraud allegations by the petitioners,” the agency’s spokesperson, Azuka Ogugua said on Wednesday.
D’banj was held by the anti-graft organization on Tuesday on allegations of fraud with the N-Power program.
However, SaharaReporters learnt that D’banj was released on bail on Friday.
