Portable is taken into custody by the police and held for 72 hours.
After failing to surrender himself, the Ogun State police command detained musician Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable.
Portable disregarded the police’s 72-hour deadline to report himself.
Two footage of the artist cursing and making loud noises at the Nigerian policemen appeared online early on Tuesday.
The police issued the singer a 72-hour ultimatum, which is set to expire today, Friday, in response to Mr Okikiola’s disrespectful behaviour toward the police.
The musician was threatened with legal action by the police, who also denounced his behaviour.
Yet the police stated that it did so in response to a petition.
The musician has been detained at the state police headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, according to the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who was reached by phone on Friday.
Mr Oyeyemi added that the Zazu singer was detained after turning down five invites.
